Chapter 261: Stay Away from Song Yinyin

Song Yinyin was accompanying Song Yingtang in discussing a collaboration. The partner in question was none other than Shen Conghao.

Shen Conghao wasn’t at all surprised by Old Master Shen’s decision to pour money into this venture. After all, Old Master Shen had even sent his own grandson over, purely out of gratitude. So there was nothing impossible about it.

Song Yinyin had already noticed that, compared with yesterday’s arrogance, Shen Conghao seemed much more affable today. But in Shen Conghao’s eyes, nothing Song Yinyin did could possibly pique his interest.

“Let’s leave it at that,” Shen Conghao said, rising to his feet and preparing to depart. Song Yinyin rose as well.

“Oh dear, I still have a few things to attend to and can’t accompany President Shen. How about this… let Yinyin accompany you? Come on over here and listen to your grandfather talk… It’s actually the first time you’ve ever let Yinyin show you around,” Song Yingtang said politely, wearing a warm, welcoming smile.

Yesterday, the meeting had started in exactly the same way, and Shen Conghao had agreed without a second thought. Song Yingtang assumed today would be no different.

But to his surprise, Shen Conghao merely smiled faintly and said, “Sorry, I have an appointment today—let’s save it for another time.” With that, he turned on his heel and walked away without so much as glancing at the two of them.

Song Yinyin’s face went pale in an instant.

Song Yingtang, being the elder, raised her hand and patted Song Yinyin on the shoulder. “Yinyin, go see President Shen off.”

“Oh!” Song Yinyin hurried after him.

Yet Shen Conghao strode ahead with quick, purposeful steps, and his Assistant kept pace without falling behind. The two walked side by side, and Song Yinyin couldn’t even get close enough to speak to him.

Just before Shen Conghao got into the car, his Assistant stopped Song Yinyin.

“President Shen…” Song Yinyin tried to say something, but the Assistant replied calmly, “Miss Song, please wait.”

Then the Assistant climbed into the car, and the whole group drove off. Song Yinyin watched Shen Conghao drive away, her face turning white with anger.

Just as she was about to turn back, her phone rang. She picked it up and saw it was Zhou Zishan.

“Hello!”

At that moment, Zhou Zishan was still in the hospital. Both he and Kong Yuxiao were there, having nearly been beaten to death by Song Qingtian. Despite their strong physiques, they both ended up with head wounds and bleeding. It would take at least ten days—or even half a month—before they could be discharged.

It was only when his family reminded him that Zhou Zishan realized what had happened, and he immediately called, despite having just been scolded by his relatives for rushing over.

As soon as Song Yinyin answered, Zhou Zishan hurriedly said, “Quick, check the news!”

“What’s wrong with the news?” Song Yinyin hadn’t even imagined that she’d been exposed. She’d been thinking more along the lines of “just watching the drama” and assumed it must be someone else!

“We’ve both been posted online—take a look,” Zhou Zishan said, clearly frantic.

The Zhou family had fallen from grace ever since being suppressed by Ling Hanyu, and now they were far from their former glory.
