Chapter 65: Even Raising a Dog Costs Less Than She Does
As soon as Song Qingtian returned from the Shopping Mall, she spotted several cars parked outside the Villa. No need to ask—visitors from the Zhou Family, the Kong Family, and the Song Family had all arrived.
A million quickly turned into three million—that’s a pretty good deal.
Song Qingtian carried her bags, feeling thoroughly annoyed.
Not a single item was to her liking—dog man!
Ling Hanyu got out of the car and saw Song Qingtian, still distracted as she lugged her things. He walked over to her.
With his body, he stood directly between her and the car, blocking her way.
Song Qingtian was carrying so many bags that she couldn’t move.
She looked up, a bit irritated: “What now?”
Ling Hanyu wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled her close, their waists pressed tightly together.
Song Qingtian tried hard to push him away: “Stop it!”
Ling Hanyu’s eyes darkened: “What’s wrong?”
His voice was low and incredibly magnetic—after hearing it enough times, you’d almost think your ears could get pregnant.
Song Qingtian’s heart skipped a beat, and she almost cursed under her breath.
What is this?
How could she be so helpless? It’s just a man.
It’s not like there aren’t any men—Ling Hanyu is a jerk.
Toxic!
“Stop touching me! Give it a little more time and then… ugh…”
Before she even had a chance to say “divorce,” Ling Hanyu霸道ly covered her mouth, and her face instantly flushed bright red.
Although she was already quite grown-up outside of books—she’d graduated from college two years ago but had been unemployed ever since—she was still a newbie in the dating world.
She didn’t know the first thing about it.
It wasn’t that she hadn’t had opportunities; it was just that the opportunities were either too bad for her to consider, or too good for others to notice her.
She was on track to becoming an older single woman—and before she knew it, she really was heading in that direction.
But Ling Hanyu was a typical carnivore, jumping right in with full force.
This was so annoying!
Song Qingtian tried hard to push him away, but she just couldn’t seem to muster any strength.
Ling Hanyu stepped back slightly, looking at Song Qingtian. His brows were deeply furrowed, as if puzzled: “Why weren’t you like this before?”
Song Qingtian felt a surge of nervousness: “W-what did you say?”
Ling Hanyu leaned down and whispered in her ear: “You’re saying ‘no’ with your mouth, but your expression says otherwise! Isn’t that ‘wanting to refuse but actually wanting’?”
Song Qingtian glared at him: “Damn you!”
But she didn’t say another word—she just blushed.
Meanwhile, people had already gotten out of the other three cars.
With so many eyes watching, how could Ling Hanyu not notice?
Song Qingtian remained silent, and only then did Ling Hanyu look at her again. Her little face was no bigger than a palm, looking just like a child. Without makeup, Song Qingtian looked several years younger.
Ling Hanyu’s heart sank: “How long has it been since you graduated from college?”
Song Qingtian’s heart raced as she thought about what Ling Hanyu had just said—was he questioning her true identity?
“Three years. Why?”
“We’ve been married for three years.”
Ling Hanyu’s questions were getting stranger and stranger.
Song Qingtian assumed he was just testing the waters, so she replied, “We’ve known each other for ages. It’s just that you didn’t like me, and I insisted on marrying you—even nearly dropping out of college. Luckily, my wise Father said as long as I finished college, I could marry you.”
“So you went to college for me?”
Ling Hanyu kept asking more and more questions, and Song Qingtian was really getting fed up!
“At that time, I was young and naive. Now I’ve finally realized my mistake. If I’d known earlier that my parents would leave me, I should’ve studied harder—at least to learn a skill and be able to support myself.”
“You didn’t support me?”
“Support me?”
Song Qingtian chuckled, her black-and-white eyes flashing with a hint of sarcasm.
Even raising a dog costs less than she does.
She didn’t bother arguing further: “No trouble for Mr. Ling… I’ll figure something out—I’m not going to starve!”
Without thinking, Song Qingtian glanced toward those three cars. Wasn’t that just them coming to drop off money?
Although Ling Hanyu was unhappy, he also looked at the people getting out of the three cars.
He didn’t say much, though—he simply took Song Qingtian into his arms and headed toward the Villa.
