Chapter 96: Ling Hanyu, You Bastard!

Song Yinyin never in her wildest dreams imagined that she would be beaten by Song Qingtian to the point of being hospitalized.

As she was being carried onto the ambulance, she still couldn’t fathom why Song Qingtian had suddenly come after her—what on earth had gotten into her?

Meanwhile, Song Qingtian hadn’t gone far at all. She’d hidden herself and then called the psychiatric hospital. Unaware of this, Song Yinyin thought she was being taken away not by an ambulance, but by a vehicle from the psychiatric hospital.

Only when she saw people being led away did Song Qingtian step out from her hiding place. Just as she was about to head back, she spotted a car parked not too far off.

At first glance, it looked like the kind of vehicle owned by someone wealthy or influential, but Song Qingtian couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t quite right.

She planned to walk around the car and leave, but before she could get past it, the car’s window rolled down, and someone inside looked straight at her.

Upon seeing Qin Xiaotian’s face, Song Qingtian froze. She was completely petrified.

“Get in the car.”

Today, Qin Xiaotian wasn’t wearing a mask; his handsome features were enough to make countless women scream. What’s more, he was driving himself, which made him look especially dashing. To top it off, he was behind the wheel of a Maybach—a car that Song Qingtian adored.

Yet despite all this, Song Qingtian stood there, staring blankly at Qin Xiaotian for a moment, before finally refusing him: “I’ll just walk for a bit—there’ll be a car coming soon. No need to trouble you…”

Not knowing how else to address him, Song Qingtian simply didn’t say another word. She turned around and started walking back in the direction she’d come from. As she walked, she noticed another car—and she certainly recognized it.

Wasn’t that Ling Hanyu’s car?

Song Qingtian stopped dead in her tracks. What on earth was going on? How could they both show up at the same time?

The car door swung open, and Ling Hanyu stepped out. Dressed in a gray suit, he casually pushed the door shut behind him, standing there with an air of calm confidence, hands clasped behind his back as he fixed his icy black gaze on Song Qingtian.

Even in the dead of night, Song Qingtian could feel the chilling intensity of those dark eyes—and the overpowering, life-threatening aura that radiated from him. The closer she got, the more terrifying he seemed. Like a god of death, his very appearance struck fear into her heart.

Song Qingtian took a few steps forward, her heart pounding. Could it be that Ling Hanyu had been following her all along?

Just moments ago, she’d thought the mysterious big shot’s presence was merely a coincidence—but now it was clear that wasn’t the case at all!

Finally, Song Qingtian reached Ling Hanyu and, looking up, forced a somewhat awkward smile: “Mr. Ling, what a coincidence—you’re out taking your car for a spin?”

Ling Hanyu’s cold expression momentarily froze, three dark lines streaking across his forehead as if a sharp crack had split the ice itself. Fuming with anger, he snapped, “While others take their dogs for walks, I’m out here driving my car? Good grief, where did you even come up with that idea?”

“What are you doing out at this hour, if not taking a stroll?”

Song Qingtian glanced inside the car. There was no one there. As she tried to sidestep Ling Hanyu and get into the car, he grabbed her arm. Turning around, Song Qingtian said to Ling Hanyu, “Mr. Ling, if you’ve got something to say, let’s talk about it at home.”

“Front seat!”

Ling Hanyu cast a quick glance at the passenger seat, and Song Qingtian slipped in, sitting down. Only then did Ling Hanyu climb into the car.

As the vehicle pulled away, Ling Hanyu looked over at the Maybach ahead, then made a U-turn and drove off.

On the way back, Song Qingtian asked, “Mr. Ling, how come you’re at the Song Family at this hour? Are you here to see Song Yinyin?”

“What do you think?”

With one arm pressed against the car door, Ling Hanyu let the wind howl through the window. Song Qingtian stared over at him, watching his shirt billowing in the breeze, revealing glimpses of the skin beneath, and felt her heart begin to race.

Goodness gracious!

Song Qingtian bit her lip, turning her face away in a melancholy mood, trying to look elsewhere. But inadvertently, her eyes caught sight of the Maybach in the rearview mirror, and she quickly turned her head to take a closer look.

“You dare?”

Ling Hanyu’s domineering, icy voice oozed pure aggression, and Song Qingtian’s heart skipped a beat.

She looked up at Ling Hanyu and said, “I don’t even know him.”

Buzz…

The car shot forward in a blur, nearly knocking Song Qingtian off her feet in sheer fright. Soon after, the vehicle sped down the road at breakneck pace.

For the first time in her life, Song Qingtian was riding in a speeding car—and it was in Ling Hanyu’s vehicle.

When she finally got out of the car, she almost fell over, her vision swimming with dizziness.

Ling Hanyu stepped out and walked over to her, grabbing her chin in a firm grip: “You two don’t know each other?”

His tone was cold and hard, as if he were about to crush her chin with his fingers.

After struggling for a moment, Song Qingtian ended up burying her head in Ling Hanyu’s chest, clutching the sides of his shirt with both hands.

“Ling Hanyu… you bastard!”

Ling Hanyu held Song Qingtian in his arms, gazing at the Maybach that had just pulled up in the distance.

Qin Xiaotian sat inside the car, his brow slightly furrowed. His dark eyes radiated an icy chill.

Ling Hanyu turned toward Song Qingtian, who was swaying in his embrace, and lifted the hand that had been gripping her chin.

“Do you two know each other?”

Song Qingtian looked up at Ling Hanyu and said, “Damn it… damn… ugh…”
