Chapter 133: Tracking to Rescue
Chapter 133: Tracking to Rescue
Chen Yun left the company and entered its parking lot, and Song Qingtian knew Chen Yun was planning to flee.
Once he got in the car, he was definitely running away.
But her phone was off and dead, so she could only watch Chen Yun drive off.
Yet Chen Yun placed the computer case in his car and, instead of leaving, climbed out again.
Song Qingtian’s heart sank—had he spotted her?
She glanced down at her feet; not even a speck of dirt on her socks, walking so lightly that one could tell. How could Chen Yun have noticed?
Song Qingtian looked up toward Chen Yun, who was heading for Parking Lot Area A, and suddenly something dawned on her.
Ling Hanyu’s car was in Area A.
But by now Ling Hanyu must have already left; going there would be pointless.
Song Qingtian followed Chen Yun over there, only to discover that Ling Hanyu’s car hadn’t moved—it was still parked there.
Song Qingtian frowned slightly.
How come Ling Hanyu hadn’t left yet?
Chen Yun sneered, “Ling Hanyu, if you want me dead, you won’t live either. Once you’re gone, what else can you do to me?”
With that, Chen Yun walked over to Ling Hanyu’s car, circled it, took a look around, then pulled a wallpaper knife from his pocket. Song Qingtian was puzzled—how did Chen Yun happen to have a wallpaper knife on him?
Thinking back to earlier that day, when Chen Yun had lost both his phone and laptop, it made sense—he must have been prepared for her.
Confirming that no one was around, Chen Yun slipped under the car.
Song Qingtian scanned the parking lot and realized there wasn’t a single surveillance camera covering Ling Hanyu’s car; it happened to be parked right in a blind spot.
Song Qingtian felt deeply disheartened—after all, he was the president of a conglomerate, and this was his level of awareness?
While Chen Yun was busy working on Ling Hanyu’s car, Song Qingtian slipped over to Chen Yun’s own vehicle, easily popped open the trunk, grabbed the computer case, stashed it away, and then returned to her original spot.
When Chen Yun emerged from under the car, he put the wallpaper knife away and headed back to his own vehicle.
Hearing footsteps approaching, she quickly ducked into the shadows.
Song Qingtian listened to the sound of footsteps and grew increasingly worried.
It sounded like Ling Hanyu.
Sure enough, Ling Hanyu soon came walking over.
Perhaps he had some urgent business, because he hurried over and didn’t even bother to check the car before unlocking it, pulling open the door, and getting in.
Just as Ling Hanyu was about to drive off, Song Qingtian shouted, “Ling Hanyu!”
Ling Hanyu’s key was still in his hand, and he turned to look at Song Qingtian.
Song Qingtian walked toward him and said, “Don’t start the engine!”
Ling Hanyu pushed the door open and stepped out, and Chen Yun dashed forward. Song Qingtian was suddenly yanked from behind by Chen Yun, who pressed the wallpaper knife against her throat.
“Stay back!”
Ling Hanyu’s face tightened. “Let her go!”
“You two are nothing but trouble!”
Chen Yun pressed the blade harder, and Song Qingtian let out a sharp cry. Ling Hanyu roared, “Chen Yun, I won’t spare you!”
“Right now, it may not be my time to die—it depends on whether you’ll live long enough to see me meet my end.”
Ling Hanyu glared at Chen Yun. “Let her go, and I won’t press charges.”
“Hmph… You think I’m a fool? Who doesn’t know what kind of person you are, Ling Hanyu? It’s written all over your forehead—you’re bent on exterminating everyone! Do you really expect me to believe you?”
Song Qingtian showed no fear at all. She wasn’t fearless, of course—she just figured a wallpaper knife wouldn’t necessarily kill her.
But Ling Hanyu’s gaze burned with anger.
“Still, Ling Hanyu, that you’d fancy this bitch—I never would’ve guessed. Looks like you’re no better than anyone else, utterly vulgar, only drawn to her looks and figure.”
As she spoke, Chen Yun suddenly ripped open Song Qingtian’s clothes with a loud tear, exposing a large swath of her underwear and laying bare her skin.
Ling Hanyu’s expression changed in an instant.
“Chen Yun…”
“Hmph… Ling Hanyu, do you really think I can’t strip her naked?”
Ling Hanyu remained silent, his aura of malice growing heavier.
“Get in the car and leave this place.”
Chen Yun’s goal was to kill Ling Hanyu.
“Ling Hanyu!”
Song Qingtian wasn’t exactly a saint, nor did she particularly like Ling Hanyu or wish him dead—she was doing it only for her daughter, and also because of the situation at hand.
Even if Ling Hanyu cooperated, she couldn’t let him go.
Either way, death was inevitable, so she wouldn’t give an inch.
That was the calculus of interests.
Ling Hanyu shot Song Qingtian a glance, then turned to get into the car.
“The car’s been tampered with—if you get in, you won’t be able to get out. Don’t get in!”
Song Qingtian tried to stop Ling Hanyu, but he turned slightly and asked her, “Are you afraid I’ll die?”
“I’m not afraid—no matter how hard you try, you won’t save me. He’s already gone mad. Use some common sense!”
Ling Hanyu’s eyes blazed. “Even though things are good now, I prefer the way you were before!”
With that, Ling Hanyu turned and got into the car. Suddenly, Song Qingtian made a move: she grabbed Chen Yun’s wrist, mustered all her strength, and flung him over her shoulder!
