Chapter 237: Then Who Is She?
Chapter 237: Then Who Is She?
Song Qingtian returned home and hurried to see her daughter.
Aunt Chen heaved a great sigh of relief upon seeing Song Qingtian.
She had been so worried that something might have happened to Song Qingtian.
Holding her daughter in her arms, Song Qingtian couldn’t get enough of her.
Ling Nuonuo clung tightly to Song Qingtian, afraid that if she let go, Mommy would disappear again.
Mother and daughter had endless things to talk about; Ling Nuonuo even shared her little tips for baking cakes at home.
Song Qingtian’s eyes widened in astonishment: “Nuonuo, you can bake cakes now?”
Ling Nuonuo’s face flushed red, and she lowered her head shyly: “Not really—Aunt Chen taught me, and that’s how I learned!”
“Nuonuo, you’re so amazing! Mommy has been learning for ages! To master it so quickly—you’re truly a little genius!”
Ling Nuonuo quickly hugged Song Qingtian, shyly resting her head on her shoulder.
Song Qingtian held her daughter and circled the living room for a while before heading into the kitchen.
“Nuonuo, let’s make some cake—Mommy is dying to eat some!”
“Mommy, then don’t rush; take your time!”
Although Ling Nuonuo said she wasn’t in a hurry, she actually left Song Qingtian in no time, rushing off to wash her hands. Then she put on the apron Aunt Chen had carefully prepared for her and set to sifting flour.
Song Qingtian followed closely behind her daughter, acting like a devoted little fan, rolling up her sleeves and putting on an apron as well, ready to learn!
The mother and daughter were having such a wonderful time in the kitchen.
All of this was witnessed by Ling Hanyu, who stood silently by the doorway, watching.
If this person isn’t Song Qingtian, then who is she?
Why is she so kind to her daughter?
What could be the reason?
Ling Hanyu turned around and went back to the sofa, picking up his phone to browse through all the information on Song Qingtian’s identity verification.
Aunt Chen stood to one side, respectfully waiting for further instructions.
But Aunt Chen couldn’t understand—why was Mister dressed like this?
After looking at his phone for a while, Ling Hanyu suddenly looked up at Aunt Chen.
Even though he didn’t actually raise his head, he knew from her reaction.
Aunt Chen’s face was filled with surprise, almost startled.
Ling Hanyu asked, “Is there a problem?”
Aunt Chen shook her head, looking rather embarrassed.
Ling Hanyu’s gaze grew deep, and Aunt Chen didn’t dare hesitate. She quickly replied, “It’s just a bit strange—why is Mister dressed like this…?”
Ling Hanyu instinctively glanced down at his own outfit.
“Nothing, just a whim!”
Ling Hanyu’s expression remained completely neutral.
Aunt Chen was utterly taken aback, staring blankly at him.
Ling Hanyu frowned, puzzled: “Doesn’t it look good?”
Aunt Chen hesitated for a long while.
This wasn’t really her place to comment on, but…
“It’s not that it doesn’t look good—it’s that it lacks the aura that should belong to Mister. Ever since I’ve known him, he’s always carried a cold, aloof air that ordinary people don’t have. Even though he’s approachable, you can’t really tell what makes him stand out.”
Ling Hanyu’s brow twitched slightly, and he fixed his gaze on Aunt Chen: “What do you mean?”
Aunt Chen didn’t know how to explain; she felt very awkward.
As a servant, it was hardly appropriate for her to question her employer’s taste in clothing.
Aunt Chen opened her mouth, then closed it again, unable to speak.
Ling Hanyu’s eyes were deep and penetrating, waiting for her to continue.
If she wouldn’t say anything, he’d just keep waiting.
Song Qingtian came out of the kitchen and saw Ling Hanyu struggling with Aunt Chen. Thinking it must be about her, she wiped her hands and walked over.
“Aunt Chen, why don’t you go check on Nuonuo?”
Song Qingtian stepped in to help—no matter what the issue was, she wanted to support Aunt Chen first.
Aunt Chen nodded and headed toward the kitchen.
Ling Hanyu’s face was cold as he said, “Aunt Chen thinks my current attire is unbecoming of my status—what about you?”
Ling Hanyu had simply had a sudden impulse; he hadn’t given any thought to why he was dressed this way.
If Aunt Chen hadn’t pointed it out, he probably wouldn’t have noticed.
Dressing like this did indeed affect his image.
Song Qingtian assumed it must be something else.
“Aunt Chen is probably used to seeing you in formal wear, always serious and stern. Now that you’re so approachable and ordinary, it’s hard for her to adjust.”
What could Song Qingtian possibly say?
Was it really unsuitable for her?
Ling Hanyu’s face was tight, and a chill seemed to emanate from his eyes.
He curled his lips into a cold smile, lifted his dark eyes toward the kitchen, and asked in a faint, almost biting tone: “Is that so?”
Song Qingtian immediately sensed that things weren’t looking good.
It was better to tell the truth, lest Aunt Chen suffer the consequences!
