Chapter 276: Being Rich Means Being Spoiled

“Let’s talk… um…”

Before Song Qingtian could finish her sentence, Ling Hanyu sealed her lips with a kiss, then picked her up and carried her into the bathroom.

Song Qingtian looked at Ling Hanyu and asked, “You really don’t mind at all?”

“Mind what?”

“Mind that I belong to someone else!”

Ling Hanyu chuckled softly, pinned her against the door, and pounced on her.

He used his actions to prove whether or not he minded.

Song Qingtian had intended to clear things up, but Ling Hanyu was so ravenous that he kept pressing her.

It wasn’t until late at night that she finally went to bed, exhausted and fast asleep like a dead pig.

The next morning, she woke up very late and found her daughter was already gone from the room.

She went downstairs to look for her daughter.

Instead of seeing Ling Hanyu and his daughter, she ran into Aunt Chen, who was waiting for her.

Upon seeing Song Qingtian, Aunt Chen hurried over.

“The breakfast is ready—Mr. Shen specifically instructed me to prepare something nutritious to nourish you. He also said you might wake up in the afternoon, so he took Nuonuo to the office.”

Ever since she got up early to check on Ling Hanyu, Aunt Chen had been beaming with joy, never once losing her smile.

Not only did she personally feed Nuonuo, but after they finished eating, she even took Nuonuo to the office.

She made sure to prepare breakfast carefully, instructing that Song Qingtian should not be disturbed while resting.

She also specified exactly when Song Qingtian should get up and when she should eat.

Song Qingtian asked, “Did he say anything else?”

“No, oh… he did mention that the young madam should stay home and wait; he’ll be back for dinner with a surprise for you!”

Song Qingtian couldn’t imagine what kind of surprise it could be—maybe he’d give her something she’d always wanted!

Song Qingtian was indeed quite tired.

After having what they called breakfast, she just sat at home watching TV.

She also began thinking about how to reclaim what rightfully belonged to her parents.

Just as she was pondering this, she received a call from Song Yinyin.

Song Qingtian smiled when she saw the caller ID.

“This Song Yinyin—has she lost her mind?

Can’t she even wait a few days?

Logically speaking, after spending so much money, she ought to let things settle down for a few days at least—but even that short period, Song Yinyin can’t bear to wait.

Song Qingtian couldn’t understand why the original female supporting character couldn’t compete with Song Yinyin.

She answered the phone and asked, “What’s up?”

“Song Qingtian, I’ve made up my mind: Mr. Ling belongs to you, but you mustn’t interfere with me and Shen Conghao, or we’ll be done for!”

Song Qingtian teased, “Are you still half-asleep?”

“Song Qingtian, I’m serious—don’t change the subject!”

“What I do is none of your business. But there is one thing—we’re not done yet.”

Song Qingtian had no intention of taking a different approach. Since Bai Ge had already started secretly tracking her, it meant Bai Ge was investigating her.

If she didn’t strike first, Bai Ge would find every possible way to counterattack her.

Song Yinyin protested, “Didn’t you already get the money?”

“You’ve got it all wrong. The money was what you paid to strip me naked—it has nothing to do with anything else.”

At this point, Song Qingtian was certain that Song Yinyin hadn’t recorded the conversation, so she spoke freely without holding back.

Song Yinyin was stunned and quickly turned on her recorder, preparing to capture the conversation.

But Song Qingtian seemed to have X-ray vision—she had no intention of continuing this line of discussion.

Song Yinyin said, “You’ve already extorted a sum from us—what else are you planning to extort?”

“I still have a few matters to attend to. Please stop calling me, or I’ll sue you for harassment.”

Song Qingtian hung up, a smirk playing on her lips.

As she reached for her phone, intending to rest, Shen Conghao called.

After a moment’s thought, Song Qingtian answered.

Shen Conghao’s voice came through the receiver: “I’m outside your door—come out!”

Song Qingtian’s expression darkened. “I’m not a dog—how dare you speak to me like that? Doesn’t Mr. Shen know how to show respect?”

“Please come out!”

Song Qingtian pondered for a moment. “Does Mr. Shen have something urgent?”

“A little something—just come out!”

Shen Conghao hung up and waited outside the villa.

Song Qingtian couldn’t think of any reason to go out, but Shen Conghao would surely keep calling, and if she didn’t, he’d just keep waiting.

So Song Qingtian decided to step outside.

When she reached the door, sure enough, there was Shen Conghao.

But beside Shen Conghao stood another person—a frail elderly man.

He looked to be well into his eighties.

Song Qingtian raised an eyebrow. At that age, why was he still out and about?

What if he suddenly felt unwell and collapsed?

Being rich really does mean being spoiled!
