Chapter 306: When Are We Getting a Divorce?

Uncle Lin was waiting outside, while Song Qingtian held her daughter and went to take a bath with Shen Conghao.

Shen Conghao followed Song Qingtian, his curiosity piqued: “What do you mean by this? As soon as you’re better, you’re full of energy again. Did you really fall into a vegetative state before—were you just pretending?”

“Why would I pretend? With such a huge incident involving the Ling Group, why would I even bother to deceive anyone?” Song Qingtian wondered, puzzled. What possible benefit could there be?

Song Qingtian thought Shen Conghao’s imagination was truly remarkable!

“So you really were in a vegetative state and then woke up?”

Although Shen Conghao was a CEO, he still had solid common sense—and some knowledge of medicine, too.

But being in a vegetative state wasn’t like how it was portrayed on TV: you didn’t just snap out of it and suddenly be completely fine. According to what Shen Conghao knew, the number of people worldwide who actually wake up from a vegetative state was quite limited, and even fewer of them recovered fully afterward.

Most patients improved very slowly, sometimes even less than a child would. Someone like Song Qingtian was nothing short of a miracle.

A vegetative state occurred because of problems in the brain. So it made perfect sense that even if someone did wake up, they wouldn’t recover easily—they’d need long-term rehabilitation therapy.

For Song Qingtian to be in such a condition was simply unbelievable.

Song Qingtian glanced at Shen Conghao: “Let’s just say we were faking it; otherwise, there really is no other way to explain it.”

During her time working in the hospital, Song Qingtian had been a medical professional, so she certainly knew a thing or two about vegetative states.

She understood exactly what Shen Conghao meant.

“So you guys did this on purpose?”

“Mr. Shen, why are you asking so many questions? We’re here to enjoy ourselves, but…”

Song Qingtian was getting annoyed by all the inquiries. Whether you woke up or not, it was none of their business—why ask so many questions? She figured they’d be extremely nosy from now on.

Shen Conghao didn’t say anything; instead, he raised his hand and waved it dismissively.

Song Qingtian went to pay, while Shen Conghao pulled out a card and handed it to the staff. Seeing their distinguished status, the staff treated them especially well.

Song Qingtian didn’t beat around the bush either: “The two people who just came in—are they staying in that room over there?”

To make money, businesses were happy to cooperate. Especially since Song Qingtian said they were Ling Hanyu’s cousins, and that they’d pay for Ling Hanyu’s room as well later on. Naturally, the staff went all out to accommodate them.

Song Qingtian took her daughter to bathe first, and when they came out, Shen Conghao was already waiting outside in a bathrobe.

Shen Conghao wasn’t stupid; he understood perfectly well what Song Qingtian had just said—that she was going to pay for Ling Hanyu’s private room next door as well. So…

Ling Hanyu was also here, and the reason he’d brought him in was simple: to give Ling Hanyu a taste of his own medicine.

So while Song Qingtian and her daughter were taking a bath, Shen Conghao had already gone to check—and sure enough, Ling Hanyu was indeed in that room.

Moreover, Ling Hanyu had ordered two male therapists, but since Shen Conghao was footing the bill today, he arranged for two female therapists instead. On their side, though, they swapped in two men.

It worked out perfectly: just as Song Qingtian came out, the session over there had just finished.

Song Qingtian wore a bathrobe and held Ling Nuonuo in her arms.

Ling Nuonuo was dressed in a pink bathrobe and a little pink hat, looking utterly adorable.

Song Qingtian carried her daughter into the private room.

Shen Conghao followed behind, a smile playing on his lips.

Even if he couldn’t marry Song Qingtian, this was good enough.

He was eagerly anticipating seeing Ling Hanyu lose his temper.

As soon as they entered, Shen Conghao sat down on one of the beds and watched the mother and daughter across from him.

Ling Nuonuo had never been to a place like this before, so Song Qingtian was extra careful.

Everything they wore was brand new; otherwise, there wouldn’t be such tiny bathrobes available.

The bed was already covered with a bath towel, and Ling Nuonuo walked back and forth on it while Song Qingtian carefully cradled her daughter.

Ling Nuonuo was thrilled: “Mommy… this is so much fun!”

“But we can’t come here again,” Song Qingtian said, sounding rather aggrieved.

Ling Nuonuo stopped running and stared at Song Qingtian with wide eyes: “Why?”

She tilted her head, looking utterly confused and endearing.

Shen Conghao envied Ling Hanyu—what kind of stroke of luck had he had to be blessed with such an adorable daughter?

People who had already been ready to leave suddenly found themselves reluctant to go.

Shen Conghao mused to himself: “Hey!”

Song Qingtian turned around to look at Shen Conghao: “What’s up?”

Shen Conghao gazed quietly at Song Qingtian, saying nothing at first, only smiling.

The two male therapists at the doorway had already entered.

Song Qingtian looked toward the entrance, assuming Shen Conghao was about to bring up the fact that he’d ordered two male therapists.

But she didn’t think much of it and turned her attention back to Shen Conghao.

Meanwhile, Ling Nuonuo saw the strangers and quickly clung to Song Qingtian, too afraid to look at them.

Song Qingtian wrapped her arms around her daughter and turned to comfort her.

Then she heard Shen Conghao speak from behind: “When are you two getting a divorce?”

Only then did Song Qingtian realize why Shen Conghao had called her over.

But just at that moment, someone entered through the door.

Song Qingtian didn’t even look, but she could feel the murderous aura spreading in.

Slowly turning her gaze, she confirmed it: Ling Hanyu had arrived.
