Chapter 93: Retribution

Secretary Yang walked in just as Song Qingtian spotted him. The children were crying loudly, apologizing as they went.

Secretary Yang approached Song Qingtian and suddenly thought, “It’s easy to change the landscape, but hard to change one’s nature.”

At her age, she was still clinging to the kids—such behavior didn’t reflect well on her.

But Secretary Yang didn’t dare say any of this aloud.

Though he held back, Song Qingtian wasn’t blind to it.

“Secretary Yang, how do you think we should handle this?” Song Qingtian glanced at Ling Hanyu before asking him. She had no intention of targeting Secretary Yang, even though Yang Yifan didn’t hold the original female supporting character in high regard.

She could tell Yang Yifan showed her no respect at all—and deep down, he looked down on her.

But that was only about the original female supporting character; if she were Yang Yifan, she’d probably feel the same way too.

Besides, Yang Yifan was after all by Ling Hanyu’s side. If she wanted to stay by Ling Hanyu’s side, she wouldn’t be foolish enough to shoot herself in the foot.

Still, she reiterated: her daughter was her bottom line.

As long as she didn’t interfere with her daughter, everything would be fine. But if she did interfere, there was absolutely no room for compromise.

“After all, they’re just kids—the school will handle it,” Secretary Yang said. Upon hearing this, Ling Hanyu’s dark eyes grew even darker.

“Secretary Yang…”

Yang Yifan suddenly sensed something was amiss and turned to look at Ling Hanyu.

Ling Hanyu’s face was filled with hostility: “Get out!”

Secretary Yang dared not move. Ling Hanyu’s eyes were icy cold, and his aura was even more chilling.

He looked at Song Qingtian: “Go ahead!”

Only then did Song Qingtian turn to the children: “Write down your parents’ names. Secretary Yang, please make a record.”

Yang Yifan didn’t dare utter a single word of dissent; he quickly agreed and hurried off to deal with the situation.

While Secretary Yang took notes, Song Qingtian turned to the teacher: “It’s your turn now, teacher. When you make a mistake, shouldn’t you apologize?”

The teacher’s face flushed red, but instead of answering, she tried to explain: “Ms. Nuonuo, I think in this case…”

“Don’t try to pull your usual teacherly tricks on me—they won’t work. If you want to debate, I’ll give you a chance. My daughter has been bullied. If it’s only happened once, and you proactively tell me about it, then I might forgive you—and even forgive those little brats, unconditionally.”

“Ms. Nuonuo, how can you swear in front of the kids?”

“Teacher, have you lost your mind? My daughter is being bullied to death, and you want me not to swear? They come from wealthy families and receive a good education—but even with all that, they still can’t behave properly. Clearly, they’re unfit to be human. What else are they if not animals?”

The teacher’s expression soured: “Ms. Nuonuo, they’re just kids. If you act like this, won’t it affect their development?”

“What about my daughter? Their development doesn’t matter, but mine does? That’s ridiculous! Well then, I hope someday you’ll have a child who gets bullied—specifically by little brats!”

“You…”

The teacher was furious.

Song Qingtian refused to back down: “Let me tell you, this isn’t over. If anything happens to my daughter, no one will be safe. I don’t ask for anything else—if someone bullies my daughter, I’ll fight back. That’s the fairest thing to do.”

“Ms. Nuonuo, having money doesn’t make you superior. You can’t bully others just because you’re rich. And besides… as a mother, you should learn to be tolerant!”

The teacher launched into a long lecture, but Song Qingtian just laughed.

She handed Ling Nuonuo to Ling Hanyu’s arms, then walked up to the teacher and slapped her across the face.

The teacher was stunned: “You hit me?”

Song Qingtian smiled: “Learn to be tolerant!”

Ling Hanyu frowned slightly, watching Song Qingtian.

The teacher lowered her hand: “So can we let the kids go now?”

Pretending to be so noble, the teacher got another slap from Song Qingtian.

The teacher glared furiously at Song Qingtian: “You’re being way too mean!”

“Tolerance!”

And another slap right after.

By this point, Yang Yifan was already frozen in shock, as were everyone else. Even the children’s cries had stopped—no one dared cry anymore!

But the teacher wouldn’t give up. She raised her hand to strike Song Qingtian, only for Song Qingtian to kick her straight to the ground. The teacher rolled around on the floor, screaming for an ambulance because her stomach hurt.

Song Qingtian stood over her: “Say ‘I’m sorry’ a hundred times, and I’ll let you go. Otherwise, your teaching career is over—for good.”

With that, Song Qingtian went over to Ling Nuonuo, clapped her hands, and called out, “Mommy hug!”

Ling Nuonuo looked at Song Qingtian, her little face blank and a bit frightened—but compared with how she used to be terrified of going to school, she wasn’t scared at all now.

Ling Nuonuo reached out her tiny hands and hugged Song Qingtian.

Song Qingtian wrapped her arms around her daughter’s soft little body and looked down at the teacher on the ground: “You talk about tolerance? Where were you when the whole class was bullying my daughter? You neglected your duties, refused to apologize proactively, and even tried to shift the blame. Now you want to lecture me about morality? Do you even know that bullying… is a legal offense? These little brats may get away with it, but you can’t!”
