Chapter 121: Counterattack 47
But Jiang Feng soon sensed something was off.
He couldn’t quite put his finger on what exactly was wrong.
Instantly, he snapped his eyes open—and in that very instant, the world seemed to crumble.
For Ming Yue was holding a large frozen shrimp she’d just pulled from the fridge right up against his lips.
Jiang Feng’s handsome brows instantly furrowed as he snatched the shrimp and slammed it back onto the cutting board, muttering irritably, “Well, well! So you’re playing a trick on me, huh?”
“Didn’t you say you wanted a reward? And now that I’ve given it to you, you’re still not happy! Men are really hard to please!” Ming Yue giggled uncontrollably, pretending to make a break for it.
But before she could even take a step, he had already seized her slender waist, pinning her body firmly in the palm of his hand.
With a stern expression, Jiang Feng held her fast, “Is this how you reward someone?”
“Everything has to start somewhere, doesn’t it?” She simply couldn’t contain her laughter—especially when she imagined the look on his face, all flushed with desire as he closed his eyes, waiting for the kiss to come.
Under the glow of her lovely smile, Jiang Feng’s stern expression gradually softened, yet his strong hands didn’t loosen their grip on Ming Yue; instead, he pulled her even closer, pressing her body tightly against his own. “I think you’re absolutely right!”
He said it with perfect seriousness.
But Ming Yue caught a whiff of danger and quickly backed down. “Just kidding—stop it! Let me go already.”
This unnamed male operative…
There was something downright sinister in his gaze.
You didn’t even need to think about what he was planning next—your toes could figure it out.
“No, I’m not messing around!”
A deep, husky growl rumbled from Jiang Feng’s throat as he tightened his hold, drawing her even closer—so close that they could clearly hear each other’s heartbeats.
Ming Yue immediately pressed her hands against his chest. “Then hurry up and let me go!”
“Everything has to start somewhere!” His eyes were locked on hers.
This time, there was no need to use your toes to guess—it was obvious even without them.
Ming Yue cursed inwardly under her breath, regretting it bitterly.
If only she’d known he was the kind of guy who couldn’t be provoked in the slightest!
Why on earth had she even dared to joke with him like that?
It was nothing but trouble she’d brought upon herself!
So she forced a sheepish grin and said, “Well, Jiang Feng, please let me go soon—it’s getting late; don’t want to miss our flight.”
“The afternoon flight? No way we’ll miss it,” he replied, his blood surging through every vein, his handsome face flushed bright red as if dusted with thick rouge, and his heartbeat pounding so fast it was almost frightening.
Ming Yue knew there was no escaping this now, so she simply went along with him, quietly waiting for whatever he would do next.
And then came an unprecedented indulgence.
Not anywhere else—not in the usual spots either.
This time, it happened right here—in the kitchen, in the living room, in every single room except the bedroom.
By the end, Ming Yue’s waist felt like it might snap, her whole body drained of strength, and she slumped limply against Jiang Feng, leaving a big tooth mark on his shoulder as she bit down hard. “You son of a tortoise—you must be a dog, right? Oh, wait, maybe you’re a Teddy breed!”
“Sorry!”
Jiang Feng himself couldn’t believe how wildly out of control he’d become.
Looking at the bruises all over her body, he felt immense心疼, and secretly pinched himself twice, vowing never to let himself go this far again.
“What good is an apology, anyway?”
Ming Yue huffed, letting the dog male operative carry her into the bathroom to shower and get dressed.
After packing their bags and gifts, and having eaten and drunk their fill, the two of them boarded the plane bound for Overseas / across the ocean.
Perhaps she was just too exhausted—no sooner had she stepped aboard than she drifted off to sleep.
“Tired?”
Jiang Feng gently pushed aside the strands of hair on her face and asked softly.
