That…

That’s…

Da Ge!

Ming Yue’s eyes instantly filled with tears, on the verge of bursting into sobs—until she quickly realized something was off. Upon closer inspection of the photo, she discovered it wasn’t him after all!

It wasn’t her Da Ge.

Rather, it was a man who looked strikingly like her Da Ge.

[“Fu Qiancheng, what’s going on? Who is this person?”]

Ming Yue sent a message, addressing the unnamed male operative on the other end.

Fu Qiancheng replied in an instant: [“My people found him in Ning City.”]

[“Tell me where you found him, what his name is, and what he does. You don’t need to worry about anything else.”]

Ming Yue responded accordingly.

Then, as if struck by a sudden thought, she sent another message: [“It’s late at night—get some rest when you can. Don’t push yourself too hard.”]

Perhaps these words stirred a long-lost warmth in the operative’s heart; he no longer hesitated over whether or not to meet. Instead, following Ming Yue’s request, he promptly relayed some basic information about the man, then patiently urged her over the phone: [“Don’t go looking for him alone—wait for my word.”]

[“Okay!”]

The reply came almost instantly.

Ming Yue said no more, simply staring blankly at the photo for most of the night.

The next morning, she was rudely jolted awake by a knock at the door. Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she snapped irritably, “Which bastard is disturbing my sleep so early in the morning? Are you trying to kill me?”

Outside the door, Liu Qinxin’s delicate face twitched, a cold glint flashing briefly in her eyes.

But she quickly composed herself and whispered, “Ming Yue, it’s me—Aunt Liu. Your dad said I should start teaching you how to dress and make up from today. I’ve had someone deliver some clothes to your place. If it’s convenient, come downstairs and take a look.”

Ming Yue’s mind cleared considerably, and the drowsiness began to fade. She sat bolt upright. “You? Teach me how to dress and make up? So you’re planning to train me in the Liu family’s secret arts—making the eldest daughter play the third role, the youngest daughter play the second—and turn me into a little ‘third’?”

Ming Yue spared no punches, bluntly exposing Liu Qinxin’s true nature, and even laid bare the shameful secrets of Liu Qinxin’s mother, Liu Grandmother.

And after unmasking them, she couldn’t resist adding a teasing jab:

“Liu—you can waste your time on me all you want. But I have no interest in learning your seductive tricks, nor could I ever master them. I suggest you save them for your precious daughter instead; she might actually find them useful.”

Liu Qinxin clenched her fists, her face drained of color.

Yet Ming Yue pressed on:

“Let me tell you something: that girl doesn’t seem very bright. She lost me five million just by moving her fingers—and who knows what kind of huge mess she’ll cause in the future!

Besides, judging by Dad’s attitude, he’s not exactly eager to bail her out. You’d better hurry up and teach her to find a fool like Dad—who’ll cover for her and protect her—so she has someone to rely on.”

“You!”

Liu Qinxin was furious, her face turning ashen, her teeth grinding together. She raised her hand to pound on the door, pointing right at Ming Yue’s nose as she unleashed a torrent of curses.

But in the end, she managed to restrain herself, releasing her lower lip, which was nearly bitten through by her own teeth. Clenching her fists, she stood outside the door, speaking in a low, submissive tone:

“Ming Yue, you can have your grievances against me—but please don’t attack your father. He’s your biological father, your closest relative, and the one who cares about you the most in this world. You simply can’t treat him like that!”

“We’re Ming, you’re Liu—how we get along is none of your business! Why are you sticking your nose into things that don’t concern you at all?” Ming Yue shot back, showing absolutely no mercy.
