Chapter 13: Don’t Take Off Your Clothes Just Yet
Song Qingtian was caught off guard by the sudden pinch. She blinked and looked at Ling Hanyu, who was so close that his breath brushed against her face, making her body inexplicably grow warm.
“What?” she asked, not understanding what Ling Hanyu meant.
She now deeply regretted not paying attention to the character’s traits—this Ling Hanyu was taciturn and violent; she couldn’t even tell what he was trying to convey.
“Divorce because of that man at the restaurant entrance just now?”
This woman kept saying she loved her, but in reality, she’d already been hiding another man outside? How dare she treat him like that!
“Not exactly… it’s not entirely for that reason.”
Although Qin Zhengxiao had given her hope for life, it wasn’t solely because of him.
Song Qingtian spoke up without hesitation to explain.
These words only made Ling Hanyu even angrier.
Without a word, he pulled Song Qingtian’s head closer to his own and, as if punishing her, pressed his lips against hers.
Song Qingtian blinked, completely unsure how to react.
Ling Hanyu’s cool lips felt soft, his breath mingling with hers, leaving her momentarily dizzy.
She knew she should push him away.
Yet her body seemed to act on its own—whenever he touched her, she became strangely excited, and she herself hadn’t expected to part her lips slightly.
Seizing the opportunity, Ling Hanyu slipped his tongue into her mouth.
They kissed again and again—his advances met with her yielding response.
Feeling the woman in his arms actively responding, Ling Hanyu couldn’t help but smile smugly, then pushed her away.
When he looked back at Song Qingtian, he gave her a mocking smile.
Seeing Ling Hanyu’s expression, Song Qingtian was furious.
“So that was your trick again just now.”
Previously, Song Qingtian had tried all sorts of tricks to keep Ling Hanyu by her side, but they always ended up leading to intimate contact.
“You have to admit, your tactics have improved,” Ling Hanyu said, wiping the lipstick mark from his lips before smiling lightly and heading upstairs.
Only when he entered the study did he stop, turn around to look at Song Qingtian downstairs, and say in a matter-of-fact tone, “My parents are coming back tomorrow, so we’ll go pick them up together. For now, we’ll sleep in the same bed and pretend to be a loving couple.”
Song Qingtian was utterly bewildered.
“Hey, that divorce agreement…” she wanted to say that she’d already signed it and didn’t want to put on an act anymore—better to end it quickly and be free.
But before she could finish, Ling Hanyu interrupted her naturally.
“Just tear up the divorce agreement yourself; we’ll draft a new one when the time comes to actually get divorced.”
With that, Ling Hanyu went straight into the study.
Song Qingtian let out a deep sigh, replaying in her mind what had just happened—and felt like she was going crazy.
What on earth had just occurred? Why were Ling Hanyu’s parents coming back now?
She’d wanted to sign the divorce agreement and leave—so why did her body react so involuntarily whenever it touched Ling Hanyu?
A barrage of questions was driving her mad.
Song Qingtian could only rub her aching temples, put away the divorce agreement, and hurry upstairs.
After thinking for three hours without figuring anything out, almost at dawn, she decided to stop overthinking and got out of bed to take a shower in the bathroom.
But as soon as she stepped out of the bathroom, she discovered that the once-empty bedroom now had someone else in it!
When had Ling Hanyu come in?
Moreover, Ling Hanyu was already undressing in his pajamas, clearly intending to go to bed.
Song Qingtian could hardly believe what she was seeing.
In the original story, Song Qingtian and Ling Hanyu lived apart because Ling Hanyu disliked her. For this very reason, Song Qingtian spent her married life trying to win him over.
“What are you doing in my room?”
Startled, Song Qingtian quickly wrapped her pajamas tighter around herself, watching Ling Hanyu warily.
“My parents are coming back tomorrow, and we’re supposed to play the role of a loving couple,” Ling Hanyu said casually, continuing to undo the buttons of his pajamas.
“Don’t take off your clothes yet!” Song Qingtian hurriedly interjected. “What does playing the role of a loving couple have to do with your parents coming back and you showing up in my room?”
“Do you think a loving couple should sleep in separate rooms?” Ling Hanyu paused, turned around, and slowly walked toward Song Qingtian.
Damn it—Ling Hanyu had already unbuttoned half of his pajamas, revealing perfectly sculpted chest muscles, and her heart began racing…
