Chapter 195: Catching Adultery

Song Qingtian was seeing such a shocking scene for the first time, but she quickly wrapped things up and slipped out before the other party noticed.

Once outside, Song Qingtian breathed a sigh of relief.

Chen Jianxiu was still very cautious—she even came out with Bai Ge without bringing anyone along to wait outside the hotel.

It seemed that Chen Jianxiu’s wife at home was also quite afraid, or perhaps she was just overly suspicious, worried that her affair with Bai Ge might get exposed and everyone would find out.

Song Qingtian left and stepped out of the door.

But instead of heading straight away, she took a moment to organize the video, splitting it into several segments.

She then made a few calls around, eventually reaching Song Haichang. Song Haichang simply couldn’t believe his wife would go to a hotel with someone.

“Fine, if you don’t believe me, go home and take a look, or call the housekeeper. If your wife is really at home, then there’s no need to trust me—I’m only after money. Just hand over the cash and we can settle this. But if you refuse to pay, well, that’s another story.”

Song Qingtian deliberately altered her voice when she spoke; back in school she had taken part in drama performances, and Qin Xiaotian had even been her co-star.

So she’d mastered the art of voice modulation quite well.

Thinking back to those days, Song Qingtian realized how useful her training had been—she really put everything she’d learned to good use.

Song Haichang couldn’t tell who was on the other end of the line at all; he was furious. “I don’t have any money. Don’t think I’m going to believe you just because you say so.”

“If you don’t believe me, fine—but don’t call me again. If you do believe me, get the money ready: five hundred thousand. I’ll come pick it up. If you don’t, I’ll release photos of your wife in bed with someone else.”

With that, Song Qingtian hung up.

Song Haichang was beside himself with rage.

He immediately called home to ask whether Bai Ge was there.

The housekeeper said the young lady was inside, while the madam had gone out—and according to the time, she’d left right after he did.

Song Haichang had business to attend to today, and he’d been out socializing.

Since it was evening, the place where he was entertaining was rather noisy.

After pacing around outside for a while, still not feeling reassured, he finally abandoned his engagement and headed straight for the hotel.

As soon as he arrived outside the hotel, before he could even step inside, he saw Bai Ge stumbling out, looking weak and limp, with a man by her side, holding her tightly in an embrace.

Their intimate behavior left Song Haichang utterly stunned.

In one swift motion, Song Haichang charged forward.

He was about to strike without saying a word, but Chen Jianxiu wasn’t someone to be trifled with—she kicked him right off his feet.

“You…”

Bai Ge shoved Chen Jianxiu away. “Are you crazy?”

Chen Jianxiu looked embarrassed, then retorted, “He hit me first—am I not allowed to fight back?”

Bai Ge hurried over to Song Haichang, trying to help him up, but he pushed her away and she fell to the ground.

Bai Ge sat down and stayed put.

Seeing that Bai Ge was at a disadvantage, Chen Jianxiu sprang into action and kicked her repeatedly.

It was dark, and hardly anyone noticed—after all, it was past eleven o’clock, deep into the night.

No matter how much Song Haichang cried out in pain, Bai Ge ignored him and just sat there, dazed.

Song Qingtian used her phone to capture the whole scene, then slipped away.

Song Haichang had taken quite a beating, but Chen Jianxiu was smart enough to know better than to slap him in the face—she had to consider Bai Ge’s feelings.

Song Haichang got to his feet and stared at them. Bai Ge said, “Let’s get a divorce!”

With that, Bai Ge turned to leave.

Song Haichang was stunned. Chen Jianxiu walked over and said, “I’ll go back right away and file for divorce!”

Bai Ge was a master of acting; as she lifted her head, tears welled up in her eyes. “It’s all your fault!”

Chen Jianxiu’s heart sank. She quickly pulled Bai Ge into her arms, but Bai Ge turned her face away, unable to meet Song Haichang’s gaze.

Chen Jianxiu looked at Song Haichang and said, “It’s all my fault—I forced Bai Ge. If you’re not satisfied, then go ahead and divorce. Her and her daughter can stay with you; as for me, I haven’t exactly thrived either—I can’t seem to get anything done.”

Song Haichang was completely bewildered—he didn’t want a divorce.

Bai Ge was eager to leave Chen Jianxiu behind. “You promised me you wouldn’t bully him.”

Chen Jianxiu shot back, “He’s not even a real man—what has he ever given you? Why are you so devoted to him?”

Song Haichang was somewhat moved by this.

Bai Ge said, “I’m going home now.”

Then she turned to Song Haichang and said, “Let’s go—let’s head back.”

Bai Ge went to their car first and waited there.

Song Haichang felt deeply humiliated, yet he didn’t dare act rashly. He glanced at Chen Jianxiu, then looked over at Bai Ge.

Once they were in the car, Song Haichang began to tremble uncontrollably.

Looking at Bai Ge, he asked, “What on earth happened between you two?”

Bai Ge remained silent, just sitting there.

Not far away stood Chen Jianxiu, still by the car, worried that Song Haichang might beat up Bai Ge.

Since Bai Ge kept quiet, Song Haichang called out to her once, and Chen Jianxiu immediately stepped out to stand by their vehicle.

Song Haichang was startled and fell completely silent!
