Chapter 34: That Dog of a Man Refuses to Sign
Ling Hanyu never expected Song Qingtian to act so directly. Before he could even close his eyes as he usually did, he was forced to take in the view beneath her pajamas.
In the past, Ling Hanyu would have simply swept his sleeve and walked away. But today, as he looked at Song Qingtian wearing a tight snake-print lingerie set, he actually thought she had a great figure—and his body began to feel warm, with an odd itch in his throat.
He knew what this feeling was; he knew he was falling for her. Yet he couldn’t help but think he must be crazy!
He found himself wanting to pull Song Qingtian tightly into his arms, roughly strip off that snake-print outfit, and watch her melt into a puddle beneath him.
Ling Hanyu figured it must be because he hadn’t been with a woman in far too long to feel like this.
No doubt this was exactly what Song Qingtian was aiming for. Thinking this, Ling Hanyu struggled to suppress his impulses and stared coldly at her.
“Song Qingtian, just how desperate are you for a man that you’re in heat every single day?”
In the past, hearing such words would have made Song Qingtian furious and prompt her to storm off, after which she’d go on a rampage—either frantically swiping on Ling Hanyu’s credit card or buying even more revealing clothes to tempt him.
And every time, she’d foolishly run to Song Yinyin to complain. But that “white lotus” was never going to offer any helpful advice; all she ever did was suggest ways to push Ling Hanyu further away.
Yet now, seeing the look of disgust on Ling Hanyu’s face, Song Qingtian was practically jumping for joy.
“Yes, yes, yes! This is exactly the look I want—let the disgust come even stronger! I can handle it. Don’t pity me just because I’m a delicate flower.”
Song Qingtian decided to fan the flames even more. She threw herself into Ling Hanyu’s arms, hugging him tightly. But when she really pressed against him, she realized she was responding too—so much so that she wanted to rip off his bath towel and turn into a wolf right there.
Good heavens, this damn author has written Song Qingtian’s body way too provocatively! Summoning every ounce of willpower she had, she resisted the temptation, flashing an utterly infatuated smile as she tilted her head up to look at Ling Hanyu.
“Hanyu, it’s been ages since we’ve been together. Didn’t you used to love my body the most?”
Even saying this made Song Qingtian sick to her stomach. Sure enough, Ling Hanyu’s expression grew even colder, and he pushed her away before hurrying out the door.
Song Qingtian hurried after him. “Hanyu, where are you going? Can I wait here for you?”
“Whatever,” Ling Hanyu snapped through gritted teeth. “If you want to wait, then wait. I’m going to the Study!”
Song Qingtian watched Ling Hanyu leave, whimpering, then happily flopped onto her bed and even rolled around a few times, full of bravado.
“Great, great! If I’d known it would be like this, I could’ve saved myself so much trouble earlier! Haha, I’m so happy!”
After letting off some steam, she put on her pajamas again and headed back to her room. She pulled out the divorce agreement Ling Hanyu had provided earlier, kissed it passionately, and even tapped it with her finger.
“My fortune, wealth, and rise to the pinnacle of life all depend on you now—hahaha!”
If she weren’t afraid her overly seductive, wild laughter might scare Nuonuo half to death, she’d surely laugh three hundred rounds straight. Gathering herself, she put on an expression of deepest sorrow—as if her husband had just died—and slowly made her way to the Study.
Standing at the doorway, she worried that this dog of a man might lock the door just to protect his own purity. To her surprise, though, she gave it a hard push and the door swung open!
She nearly fell over from the force of it.
Ling Hanyu glared at Song Qingtian, who had barged into his study in such an unusual way to grab his attention, and seriously considered tossing her right out.
Song Qingtian was a bit annoyed with the way she’d made her entrance, but since things had already gone this far, she might as well keep up the chaotic image she’d created.
