Chapter 35: Song Qingtian, you’re really something now!

Ling Hanyu felt like he was going crazy from Song Qingtian’s unpredictable behavior.

He didn’t want to get too entangled with her, so he let go. Seeing that Song Qingtian clutched the divorce agreement like a treasure, she walked right out.

Song Qingtian went straight back to the Bedroom, tears streaming down her face. As soon as she closed the door, she was so angry she wanted to bang her head against the wall.

Just moments ago, she’d almost succeeded—yet this dog of a man suddenly changed his mind! She was furious; her heart was practically in knots. Frustrated, she rubbed her chest, thinking to herself: “Me, Song Qingtian—living day in and day out is truly no easy feat.”

She must have missed something somewhere. Song Qingtian lay down beside Nuonuo, kissed her little cheek, and gently stroked her chubby little hand, then began replaying today’s scene in her mind.

She had to figure out exactly where she’d gone wrong.

After replaying it over and over, she finally concluded that it must have been the way she’d looked at Ling Hanyu—her gaze had been far too passionate, which had caused the dog of a man to change his mind at the last minute.

Goodness, could it be that beneath his flashy exterior, he’d seen right through to her true self and fallen for her interesting soul? That wouldn’t do—she still had to keep living; she wasn’t about to die just yet.

Since there was nothing she could do right now, Song Qingtian stopped dwelling on it. After tossing and turning a few times, she finally fell asleep.

Song Qingtian slept soundly, but Ling Hanyu couldn’t get a wink of sleep all night because of her antics. He thought she’d been acting very strange lately—almost as if she were splitting personality. Could it be that he’d been too cold to her before, and now she was depressed?

Maybe he should arrange for her to see a psychologist?

The next morning, when Aunt Chen saw the faint dark circles under Ling Hanyu’s eyes, she felt quite worried. The night before, she’d vaguely heard the two arguing—and even mentioning divorce. She’d actually thought their relationship was improving, but who would’ve guessed it was still so bad?

Poor little Nuonuo…

Throughout breakfast, Ling Hanyu exuded an icy aura. Every so often, he glanced up at the stairs, but neither Song Qingtian nor Nuonuo came down. This only made him angrier: she’d brought this on herself, yet she was sleeping soundly!

He lost his appetite altogether and got up to leave for the office.

No sooner had Ling Hanyu left than Song Qingtian yawned and came downstairs. Seeing how much better she looked, Aunt Chen couldn’t help but wonder: in the past, whenever Song Qingtian and Ling Hanyu fought, Song Qingtian would always get furious and wreak havoc around the house.

But today, why did they both look so odd? The usually aloof Mister was so angry, while the usually fiery Song Qingtian seemed surprisingly cheerful?

“Auntie Song, did you and Mister fight again?”

“Yeah, he really has a short temper. Aunt Chen, what are we having for breakfast today? I’m starving!”

“I’ve made several dishes—let me bring them out.”

Aunt Chen was a great cook. Her specialties included soup-filled buns and small wontons, paired with homemade pickles—truly a unique flavor.

After serving Song Qingtian, Aunt Chen went over to watch Nuonuo. Once Song Qingtian finished eating and put away her bowls and chopsticks, Aunt Chen happened to take Nuonuo downstairs.

As soon as Nuonuo saw Song Qingtian, she dashed over and threw herself into her arms.

“Mommy, smell me—am I not fragrant? Nuonuo put on some perfume~”

Song Qingtian leaned in and planted a big kiss on her, deliberately exaggerating her response.

“Wow, Nuonuo, you smell so good! And look at those pretty braids—you make Mommy want to kiss you right away!”

With that, she planted a kiss on Nuonuo and carried her off to the Dining room. Aunt Chen immediately brought out Nuonuo’s special utensils and set out her breakfast as well.

Nuonuo always ate well, and Song Qingtian sat by her side, scrolling through her phone to search for fun things nearby.
