Chapter 26: Chapter 26
After Qin Qinxi caught up, the man headed straight for the Bathroom.
He didn’t look back and said, “Close the door—no lights.”
Qin Qinxi immediately replied, “Okay.”
Then the bathroom door shut, and the sound of running water filled the air.
Only then did Qin Qinxi tiptoe around and gently close the bedroom door.
She glanced left and right, choosing a corner to stand in.
She didn’t dare sit; she just stood there.
Qin Qinxi looked at the curtain.
Suddenly, she remembered the day she had hidden in this very bedroom, crouching behind it.
She never could have imagined that the second time they met, they would end up together like that.
Thinking about that, another thought occurred to her.
She looked toward the bathroom.
Didn’t he say he’d give her a three-month trial period, once a week?
But… did that last time count as one of those times?
And what about the bathroom on the first floor before he went out?
Although it had only just begun, still…
As she thought about it, her cheeks grew hot.
This man was so unpredictable, impossible to read. She was really afraid of him.
She had to think of a way out.
Before long, the sound of water stopped.
Qin Qinxi looked over.
The man had finished his shower and stepped out.
His upper body was bare, with droplets of water still glistening on his chest.
His lower half was simply wrapped in a large white towel.
Bathed in the warm light of the bathroom, it was easy to see that his skin was truly fair.
She could clearly make out the veins on his arms.
Even though his lower half was covered by the towel, the veins were still visible beneath his abdominal muscles.
As soon as Vio Mansello emerged, he saw the woman standing there.
She was still wrapped in a blanket—but not a very big one.
She was covering herself, but couldn’t quite cover her legs.
Her legs were long, slender, and straight. By wrapping herself like that, she ended up exposing both legs.
Vio walked over to the washbasin outside the bathroom, turning his back to her.
With one hand holding the towel, he rubbed his hair dry, while his eyes studied her from head to toe in the mirror.
Even though she was wrapped up like that, for some reason, looking at her, he found her rather cute.
Her skin was so fair, her hair flowing loosely, and she stood there helplessly, like a pet rat.
Qin Qinxi had been sizing up the man all along.
But when her gaze accidentally fell on the mirror in front of him, she realized he was looking at her through the glass.
Qin Qinxi instantly felt embarrassed, lowered her eyelids, and avoided his gaze.
Seeing her so flustered, a playful smile tugged at the corner of Vio’s lips.
He stopped looking at her. He tossed the towel used to dry his hair into the laundry basket, turned on the hair dryer, and began blow-drying his hair.
Even as he dried his hair, his eyes kept glancing back at the silly woman standing there, through the mirror.
He noticed that she kept stealing peeks at his back.
Once Vio had finished drying his hair, he didn’t look at her again. He simply walked over to the bed.
He lifted the covers and lay down, without saying a single word to her.
Qin Qinxi felt even more at a loss.
Was he planning to make her stand by his bed all night?
Well, that might be okay…
In fact, she’d rather stand here all night than do something like that with him.
He was rather rough in bed…
Qin Qinxi looked around.
On the other side of the man’s large bed was a single sofa.
She thought that once he fell asleep, she could quietly slip over and sit for a bit, to rest her legs.
She’d been standing for too long, and her legs were already starting to ache.
Now the man was fast asleep in bed, eyes closed.
He’d only left a small lamp on by the bedside.
Qin Qinxi wasn’t sure whether he was really asleep or not.
She quietly glanced at the wall clock.
It was now 1:30 a.m.
She’d wait until 2:30 then…
He surely wouldn’t keep his eyes closed for an hour and still not be asleep.
Just as Qin Qinxi was standing there, nearly falling asleep,
